Fattah Amin proposed to Amira Othman to be married this Sunday

PETALING JAYA: Actor Fattah Amin proposes to singer Amira Othman on Monday (Sept 8), with the wedding set to take place on Sept 14 in conjunction with his birthday.

During an event, Fattah, whose real name is Abdul Fattah Mohd Amin, 35, appeared from behind the stage while Amira and her brother, Irfan Haris, were singing their latest duet, titled "Rasa & Takdir," reported MStar.

At the end of the show, Fattah made the announcement.

"Today, Amira and I have good news to announce that we want to share with everyone.

"As everyone knows, we are colleagues and after some time getting to know each other, we would like to change status from colleagues to housemates," he said.

Amira's parents, Othman Abdul Kadir, 62, and Nora Haji Arshad, 58, were also in the audience.

The couple did not comment further when they left the event.

Previously, rumours were circulating online that Fattah Amin would get married again.

Fattah was once married to actress Fazura (Nur Fazura Sharifuddin) on Nov 27, 2017, and was divorced on Oct 7, 2024.

Together, they had a daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya.

On Sept 4, the Kuala Lumpur High Court had ordered a married couple to remove allegedly defamatory social media posts against actor Fattah Amin regarding his divorce from celebrity Fazura.

According to Fattah, the posts implied that he had cheated on Fazura with a woman identified by the initials "SA,” that the alleged affair caused their divorce, and that he was a hypocrite for projecting a public image inconsistent with his alleged behaviour.
