Another weak earthquake hits Johor, this time in Parit Sulong


PETALING JAYA: Another weak earthquake has been detected near Sri Medan, Parit Sulong, Johor on Wednesday (Sept 3).

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department's monitoring site, mygempa.met.gov.my, the magnitude 2.9 tremor was detected at 6.39pm.

The earthquake occurred approximately 10km southwest of Yong Peng at a depth of 10km.

This latest incident is the eighth to hit Johor since the first in Segamat on Aug 24.
