Police detain four teenagers for alleged gang rape of 16-year-old

SEREMBAN: Police have detained four teenagers for allegedly gang raping a 16-year-old girl.

Seremban OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Hatta Che Din said the suspects, aged 16 to 19, were detained at their homes here on Monday (Sept 1).

"The victim, who is still in school, lodged a report at the Senawang station around 3.20am on Aug30, claiming that she had been gang-raped.

"She claimed that she went to a karaoke centre around 8pm the day before and later asked a youth whom she had recently come to know to send her home," he said in a statement on Monday.

ACP Mohamad Hatta said the girl claimed that instead of sending her home, the youth took her to a house where she was gangraped.

He said the case is being investigated.
