Cops deny arresting 12 people over Form 3 student's death

PETALING JAYA: The Selangor police have denied that 12 individuals were arrested in connection with a case where a Form 3 student fell from a hostel building in Sabak Bernam recently.

Astro Awani reported Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar as saying that the statement was incorrect.

"I don't know where it came from. Perhaps another case," he was quoted as saying.

On the investigations, he said there have been positive developments.

"It is not complete yet but there are positive signs, aiding investigations. Now we can see the way forward," he said.

Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari later retracted his statement that 12 individuals were arrested to assist investigations into the case.

He said the 12 individuals he was referring to were the number of people questioned over the case since Aug 26.
