Form Four schoolgirl claims she has been bullied since May, say Melaka cops

MELAKA: A Form Four student at a school here is alleging that her schoolmates have been bullying her.

Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit said a report had been received on the matter and that investigations are underway.

According to a police source, the bullying allegedly began in May at the hostel of the school where the victim is boarding.

Her classmate, together with another student, had allegedly asked the 16-year-old victim for money to buy a bookshelf, which she declined to give.

As a result, the victim claimed she was ridiculed every day by the duo.

The victim's emotional and mental state eventually deteriorated to the point that she feared going to school.

She eventually told a teacher about the bullying and the duo were called before school authorities on June 30.

However, they continued taunting the victim and a police report was lodged at the Bandar Hilir police station on Tuesday (Aug 19).
