SEREMBAN: A 31-year-old husband fatally stabbed a 28-year-old man in Senawang near here on Monday (Aug 11), because the victim had an affair with his wife.
Negri Sembilan police chief Datuk Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof stated that a preliminary investigation showed the victim had known the suspect's wife for approximately a month prior to the incident.
"The the motive for the incident, as we now understand, is that the suspect killed the victim after discovering his wife's affair.
"The wife came to know the victim via social media," he said.

Ahmad Dzaffir said the suspect did not have any criminal record, and a urine test returned negative for substance abuse.
He also advised the public to refrain from posting comments on social media, as the matter was still under investigation.
Police detained the suspect after he stabbed the victim in front of his house in Taman Seri Pagi around 7pm.
They also seized a knife believed to have been used in the crime from the suspect.
The case is being probed under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Police have since obtained an order from the court to remand the suspect until Aug 18.
