SMKA Tun Datu Mustapha top officials, wardens temporarily reassigned amid police probe

PETALING JAYA: The principal, senior assistant for student affairs and all wardens of SMKA Tun Datu Mustapha will be temporarily placed at the Sabah Education Department until investigation by the police is completed.

The Education Ministry, in a statement on Wednesday (Aug 13), said this decision follows the police's announcement that a Bukit Aman’s task force had taken over the investigation into the death of 13-year-old Zara Qairina Mahathir.

“The ministry will give its full cooperation to the authorities to ensure that the investigation is carried out thoroughly, meticulously, and comprehensively.
