Daughter reports dad who raped her for years

MELAKA: A 41-year-old mechanic’s vile secret of subjecting his eldest daughter to sexual abuse finally came to light, ending a decade of trauma and fear.

The victim, now 18, had been repeatedly raped by her father since she was eight years old.

The truth only emerged when she broke down and confided to her mother, also 41, on Aug 1 at their home in Taman Tambak Paya Harmoni here.

According to a police source, the victim, a sales assistant, kept silent as her father allegedly threatened to beat her and harm her younger siblings if she told anyone.

Last Friday when her mother, a housewife, was preparing to leave her husband – who had stopped providing money for their children’s needs – the victim broke down and revealed the years of abuse she suffered at the hands of her father. Unfortunately, the girl’s nightmare didn’t end after her disclosure.

On the night of Aug 2, while the mother was packing to flee with the younger children, the suspect allegedly raped the victim again inside their home.

The following day, the mother fled with all six children to Kuala Lumpur with the help of her brother.

She lodged a police report on the same day at the Tiang Dua police station.

In her report, the woman claimed that her husband would often beat their children, sometimes leaving them badly injured.

State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Dzulkhairi Mukhtar confirmed the report.

The suspect has been remanded until Aug 11.
