Appointment of 4,352 medical officers begins in August

KUALA LUMPUR: The Health Ministry has announced that the appointment of 4,352 UD10 grade medical officers will occur in stages starting in August.

The ministry expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for the announcement on July 23 that 4,352 medical officers will be appointed in 2025.

The placement process will begin in stages, involving several cohorts, to ensure the welfare of the officers and an orderly implementation.

"Following the stakeholders meeting with the Public Services Commission (SPA), letters of appointment will be sent by August 18, with officers reporting for duty at Health Ministry facilities by September 2," said the ministry in a statement on Thursday (Aug 7).

The ministry thanked all stakeholders involved, especially the Public Service Department, the Public Services Commission, and the Finance Ministry, for their cooperation in implementing the task within the deadline.
