Health Ministry urges newly appointed medical officers to report for duty by Oct 7

PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry has called on medical officers appointed under the second phase of permanent appointments to report for duty by Oct 7, as the placement process remains ongoing.

The ministry said the reporting-in process for Grade UD10 medical officers, whose permanent appointments took effect on Sept 28, was still underway.

It noted that the second phase involved 4,255 medical officers who were offered placements through the ePlacement system.

"The reporting-in process at the respective placement facilities is still ongoing and has not been completed," the ministry said in a statement on Thursday (Oct 1).

The ministry urged all officers who had yet to report for duty to do so promptly at their respective Centres of Responsibility (PTj) ahead of the Oct 7 deadline.

It also called on all parties to refrain from drawing premature conclusions while the placement process was actively being carried out.

"The ministry asks all parties to allow the placement process to proceed smoothly," it added.
