Three charged with murdering alleged flasher in Malacca


JASIN: Three men have been jointly charged in the Magistrate's Court here with murdering a man who allegedly exposed himself outside a kindergarten.

The accused – lorry driver K. Krishnamorthy, 66; supermarket assistant Mohd Azmi Mohd Nor, 34; and mechanic M. Yogesvaran, 25 – claimed trial before Magistrate Mazana Sinin on Wednesday (Aug 6).

According to the charge, the three are jointly accused of causing the death of 52-year-old K. Gunalan.

The offence was allegedly committed between 7.37pm and 8.59pm on July 27 at the parking area in front of Tadika Junior Q Bestari in Bandar Jasin Bestari.

The charge was framed under Section 302 of the Penal Code, read together with Section 34 of the same code.

The court set Sept 8 for mention.

On July 28, Melaka police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Dzulkhairi Mukhtar said the man was beaten to death by a mob in Bandar Jasin Bestari.

The deceased, who was married, was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe injuries, including trauma to the head.
