Four teens nabbed for allegedly beating up classmate in Kajang mall


KAJANG: Four teenagers have been detained for allegedly punching and slapping their classmate at a mall here.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said the 13-year-old victim lodged a police report on the incident at 12.57pm on Thursday (July 31).

He said the victim met his classmates at the mall on Wednesday (July 30) to settle a disagreement.

"He said he was punched and slapped by his classmates.

"A video of the incident went viral, showing two beating up the victim while the other two recorded it.

"The victim received treatment at a nearby hospital for his injuries," he said in a statement on Friday (Aug 1).

He said four teenagers were nabbed in Kajang at 8.35pm on Thursday (July 31) and they have been remanded until Saturday (Aug 2).

ACP Naazron urged those with information to contact investigating officer Insp Shahrulhasram Ramli at 017-253 0380.
