PETALING JAYA: Police have identified a fake video featuring His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, which falsely claims he is offering monetary aid.

The video was uploaded on TikTok by a user with the handle @DATUKZULKARNAIN77.

In a statement on Monday (July 21), Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said that the video was fraudulent and appeared to have been created using artificial intelligence.

He also mentioned that a police report has been lodged regarding the incident.

The police urge everyone not to fall for this scam and advise against contacting the uploader, as doing so is part of a scam.
