Johari Ghani takes over duties, functions of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister

PETALING JAYA: Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani has been given the responsibility of carrying out the duties and functions of the Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister with immediate effect.

“The Prime Minister has informed the Cabinet, which convened on Wednesday (July 9), that he has agreed that Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani will carry out the roles and functions of the Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister with immediate effect,” said Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar in a statement on Friday (July 11).

During the PKR party polls, Nik Nazmi lost the vice-presidency race in a 12-cornered fight.

On May 28, Nik Nazmi submitted his resignation as a Cabinet Minister.
