Two senior cops among five injured in helicopter crash during exercise in Johor


JOHOR BARU: Two senior police officers are among the five injured when a police helicopter crashed into Sungai Pulai during a mock nuclear training exercise here.

The Assistant Commissioner and Superintendent, along with three rank and file personnel, were sent to Hospital Sultanah Aminah following the 10.37am incident.

Security sources reported that the Squirrel helicopter crashed about 21m from the jetty while conducting a mock exercise attended by personnel from Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Various agencies are at the scene to conduct an investigation into the incident.

A detailed investigation is underway, and the exercise has been halted at press time.

At press time some media members who were covering the event were asked to delete their footage of the viral crash which has since been taken down on social media.
