Couple crashes car into Langat River and leaves

KAJANG: Two people escaped tragedy after their car fell into the Langat River along Jalan Kuari in Hulu Langat.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said that the incident occurred on July 8, with witnesses at the scene hearing a loud crash from the river there.

"They then saw a man and a woman escape from their car that had fallen into the river. Both then left the area.

"The police and firefighters inspected the vehicle and found no individuals inside before bringing it out of the river. Investigations showed that the owner had rented the car to a man who then loaned it to the driver.

"The couple in the vehicle are still being traced down to assist police in determining the exact cause of the incident," he said.
