Father and son killed in motorcycle crash with four-wheel drive in Tangkak


TANGKAK: A man and his seven-year-old son were killed in an accident after their motorcycle crashed into a four-wheel drive vehicle.

Tangkak OCPD Supt Roslan Mohd Talib reported that the incident occurred at 8.10pm at KM2.5 Jalan Sialang on Friday (July 4).

"The 52-year-old motorcycle rider, and his son, who was riding pillion, lost control of the vehicle and veered into the opposite lane.

"Upon entering the opposite lane, their motorcycle then crashed into a four-wheel drive vehicle," he said in a statement on Saturday (July 5).

He added that both victims were pronounced dead at the scene due to severe head injuries.

"Meanwhile, the 27-year-old male driver of the four-wheel drive vehicle only sustained minor injuries.

"The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987," he said.

Supt Roslan also advised the public to always obey speed limits and remain focused while driving to ensure the safety of all road users.
