A ROUTINE day turned disruptive when returning commuters found their parked cars damaged by what appears to be a heavy vehicle.

It was reported that the incident happened near the Glenmarie LRT station.

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said police have received seven reports related to an incident involving several vehicles hit by a lorry on the roadside near the Glenmarie LRT station on Wednesday (June 25).

He said the initial investigation found that the incident happened when the vehicle owners parked their cars by the roadside to use the LRT service.

"The vehicle owners noticed the damage upon returning from work.

"As of 4pm on Thursday (June 26), a total of seven police reports related to the incident have been made," he said in a statement today.

ACP Mohd Iqbal said investigations are still ongoing, adding that police are obtaining closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the nearby area to identify the vehicle involved.
