KOTA KINABALU: A Sabah state assemblyman has been called in again by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
It is learnt he was requested to go to the MACC office here on Wednesday (June 18) to give additional statements pertaining to the mining prospecting case, said a source.
The MACC source said the assemblyman had been called in before, and that there would be no charges yet, as investigations were ongoing.

When contacted, the assemblyman declined to comment as it is believed he was at the MACC office to give his statement.
Last year, he had stated that he was willing to cooperate with the MACC in the matter.
On Thursday (June 12), MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said at least two people are expected to be charged in this case soon.
He said he would make an announcement on this soon.
The investigation was prompted by the release late last year of a series of recordings, the so-called "whistleblower videos", linking several assemblymen allegedly discussing bribes worth hundreds of thousands of ringgit up to RM4mil in return for securing projects in a state.
