Rafizi Ramli loses PKR deputy presidency, claims aide

JOHOR BARU: Economy Minister Datuk Sri Rafizi Ramli looks to have failed to defend his party post following a cryptic message from one of his officers on Facebook.

"Alhamdulilah. Kalah dah. Begitulah ceritanya (Alhamdulilah. We have lost. That is how the story goes)," his special officer at the ministry, Ahmad Syukri Che Ab Razab, posted on Friday (May 23).

Both Rafizi and Nurul Izzah Anwar are contesting for the deputy president post in the party election.

Unofficial results put votes for Nurul Izzah at 9,803 while Rafizi garnered 3,866.

As of press time, no official announcement has been made.
