KOTA KINABALU: A teenager and her grandmother ended up perishing in a blaze in their family home.

Joeynita Abdul Alip, 15, was sleeping in the same room as her grandmother Ruslia@Gisis Guntamas, 80, when the fire broke out at about 5am yesterday.
