MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in several states until 1am (May 19)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned about thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several states until 1am on Monday (May 19).

In a statement at 9.30pm on Sunday (May 18), MetMalaysia said the states affected are Perlis; Kedah; Penang; Perak; Kelantan (Jeli, Kuala Krai and Gua Musang); Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong and Temerloh); Selangor, the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya; and Negri Sembilan (Jelebu).

It also warned of bad weather in Sarawak affecting areas in Kuching; Samarahan; Sri Aman (Lubok Antu); Sarikei (Julau); Sibu; Mukah (Dalat and Mukah); Kapit (Song and Kapit); Bintulu (Tatau) and Limbang

Areas affected in Sabah are the Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Nabawan, Keningau and Tambunan) and the West Coast (Ranau).
