Husband arrested after woman fatally thrown out of van on Kesas Highway


KUALA LUMPUR: The husband of the woman who died after she was allegedly thrown out of a van has been arrested.

In a statement, Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Aidil Bolhassan said that the 50-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday at 6pm in Taman Kinrara, Puchong.

"The suspect admitted to being involved in the case. He said that there had been an argument between him and his wife on their way home at the time," Aidil said on Wednesday (May 7).

Investigations showed that he tested positive for drugs and that he had prior police records for criminal and drug-related offences.

Witnesses on Tuesday told police that the 44-year-old victim had been thrown out of a van around 2.30pm along the Kesas Highway near the Awan Besar RnR complex.

The van was also seen speeding off.

She was pronounced dead at the scene by responding medical officers.
