Masiung ready to defend Kuamut seat, will leave it to party to decide

KOTA KINABALU: Kuamut assemblyman Datuk Masiung Banah is ready to defend his seat in the coming state elections if he is given the trust by the party to serve again.

He said so far, he does not see any obstacles in defending his seat, but will leave it to the party leadership to decide.

Masiung is the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) vice-president, but he won the seat on an independent ticket in 2020.

He said what mattered most was political stability, as people were tired of non-stop politicking and change of governments.

Masiung then said political stability would bring economic development and attract more investors to Sabah.

He said this after a Hari Raya event with the media at his house here on Sunday (April 27).
