Ayer Kuning polls: Perak Unity Dinner draws strong support for Barisan candidate


PETALING JAYA: The Perak Unity Dinner 2.0 attracted over 2,600 attendees, showing strong support for Barisan Nasional candidate Dr Yusri Bakir.

Held on Monday (April 21), the event saw MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong urging Ayer Kuning constituents to vote on April 26.

"Let’s throw our full support behind Dr Yusri Bakir and work together for a stronger and brighter future for our community," he posted on Facebook on Sunday (April 20).

Key national and state leaders attended, including Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang, Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad.

Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, MCA deputy president Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon, Johor Yong Peng state assemblyman Ling Tian Soon, and PKR vice president Nurul Izzah Anwar also attended the dinner.

The Ayer Kuning seat faces a three-cornered fight among Mohamad Yusri, Abd Muhaimin Malek of Perikatan, and PSM secretary-general KS Bawani.

Polling is set for April 26, with early voting on April 22.
