Dr Wee attends Melaka CM’s Hari Raya open house


KUALA LUMPUR: MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong joined in the Hari Raya Aidilfitri festivities at the open house hosted by the Melaka Chief Minister on Saturday.

Though it was reportedly raining during the event, Wee said the atmosphere was made lively by the attendance of thousands of people from various races and walks of life.

“Thank you, Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh, for your invitation to the 2025 Madani Aidilfitri celebration in Masjis Tanah on Saturday (April 19),” Wee said in a Facebook posting.

The event also saw Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Utama Mohamad Hasan in attendance.

Wee said he attended the open house with Melaka MCA leaders, including Klebang assemblyman and Melaka MCA chairman Datuk Lim Ban Hong, Melaka exco Datuk Ngwe Hee Sem, Hang Tuah Jaya MCA division chairman Yong Fun Jun, Masjid Tanah MCA division chairman Datuk Lee Tian Sing and many others.

Clad in a dark blue patterned shirt, Wee was seen greeting and taking pictures with the other leaders as well as members of the public, while enjoying live musical performances.
