Putra Heights inferno: Raja Muda of Selangor visits fire site


PETALING JAYA: Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has arrived at the scene of the fire that struck a neighbourhood in Putra Heights.

The Raja Muda arrived at about 2.30pm on Wednesday (April 2).

Tengku Amir Shah was greeted and ushered into the command centre by Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar.

On Tuesday (April 1), an inferno broke out in Putra Heights on Jalan Putra Harmoni, with residents scrambling to safety as it grew to several storeys and sent sand and gravel flying kilometres away.

A total of 237 homes were affected, resulting in 305 victims.
