Cashless payments at bazaar a boon for business

PUTRAJAYA: The cashless payment system at the Putrajaya Ramadan bazaar has caught the attention of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, who sees the initiative as a user-friendly approach that benefits both traders and buyers.

He said the initiative not only simplifies transactions, but also reduces the risk of theft.

“The cashless payment system is better and easier, reducing cash transactions,” he told reporters at the launch of the QR Code Scan and Pay (Cashless) programme at the Ramadan bazaars in Presint 14 and Presint 11 here yesterday, Bernama reported.

Fadillah noted that the multiple bazaars in the area are managed by different entities, including Putrajaya Corporation and residents associations.

The event featured sponsorships of canopies, aprons and hats for all traders by MAE in collaboration with Maybank Islamic and PayNet.

MAE is also offering a RM2 cashback promotion for buyers who use the MAE QR code for transactions at stalls in Presint 14 and 11, as well as at Ramadan bazaars in Taman Melawati, Tasik Tambahan, AU2 and Belatuk.
