Ops Hari Raya 2025: JPJ to monitor over 15 hotspots in Kelantan

PASIR PUTEH: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will monitor more than 15 hotspots throughout Kelantan under the Hari Raya Aidilfitri Ops (Ops HRA) 2025 from March 24 to April 8.

Kelantan JPJ director Mohd Misuari Abdullah said the operation would involve several accident-prone Federal roads such as those in Gua Musang, Kuala Krai, Pasir Puteh, Machang and Jeli.

"We expect more than two million vehicles to enter Kelantan in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration and our personnel will carry out patrols to ensure smooth traffic flow, with the cooperation of other security agencies, such as the police.

"We have also started implementing the 'amber light' warning signal from today (until April 8) at several locations statewide," he said.

He told reporters this during the state-level HRA Ops 2025 Engagement Session and Launch Ceremony at the JPJ Enforcement Station in Bukit Rawa here Monday (March 17), which was also attended by JPJ deputy director-general (planning and operations) Datuk Jazmanie Shafawi.

Jazmanie said the JPJ would continue with its undercover technique throughout Ops HRA 2025 to reduce traffic violations involving public transport. "I hope all drivers will comply with all the stipulated rules to ensure road safety is at the optimum level, particularly during the Aidilfitri period," he said. - Bernama
