Woman dies after falling from Shah Alam i-City bridge


KLANG: A woman, believed to have fallen off a bridge, died on the spot near here on Saturday evening (March 15).

According to North Klang district police chief ACP Vijaya Rao Samachulu, the incident occurred at the Shah Alam i-City bridge heading towards Klang.

He said the North Klang police control room received a call about the incident.

"As soon as the information was received, police MPV personnel who headed to the location found a woman of unknown nationality lying on the road. She was certified dead by a Hospital Shah Alam assistant medical officer," said ACP Vijaya Rao.

He said initial investigations found that the woman was also run over by vehicles after she had fallen onto the road.

"A sudden death investigation paper has been opened concerning the incident.

"Members of the public who have information about the victim can contact the nearest police station or the investigating officer at 013-373 6222," he added.
