Three business premises, 40 motorcycles and car destroyed in fire


KUALA LUMPUR: Three premises along with 40 motorcycles and a car were destroyed in an early morning fire.

Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Rusdi Ismail said the distress call was received at about 5.15am on Wednesday (Feb 5).

"20 personnel from four fire stations were dispatched to the scene.

"We discovered a workshop, a vape shop and a restaurant were engulfed in flames. 40 motorcycles and a car were also on fire," he said in a statement on Friday (Feb 7).

The shops and the vehicles were fully destroyed in the fire, he said.

"However, no one was hurt during the incident.

"We are still investigating the cause of the fire," he added.
