'No comment, I just sing': Ziana Zain brushes off questions about Ops Sky probe

PETALING JAYA: Singer Ziana Zain has declined to comment on the possibility of being called in by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to help in its investigation of a financial consultancy company under Ops Sky.

"No comment, my dear, I just sing," she told the media when asked about the matter after hosting the One in a Million reality show here on Sunday (Feb 2) night.

The 57-year-old artiste, whose full name is Siti Roziana Zain, then left the venue for home.

It was reported earlier that actor Datuk Jalaluddin Hassan, an ambassador for the company under investigation, said he has not received any calls from MACC about the case.

Jalaluddin said he was only doing his job to promote the firm and was not involved in any other aspects.

On Sunday, the MACC said it would summon several celebrities who were allegedly linked to the company.

It is understood that the celebrities were paid RM150,000 to RM400,000 by the company.

The MACC's statement followed the arrest of at least 27 individuals including eight company directors and 18 bank officers by the Anti-Money Laundering Division during Ops Sky, in collaboration with Bank Negara Malaysia.
