"Thanks to the effort between the Government and Foreign Minister, we have obtained assurance that the reconstruction of Gaza and Palestine will be expedited.

"This will be through a joint effort between Japan and Malaysia, which intends to set up and launch a fund through East Asian activities, namely the East Asian countries programme for the reconstruction of Gaza. (Conference on Cooperation among East Asia countries for the Palestinian Development (CEAPAD)," the Prime Minister said in a video address on Wednesday. (Jan 29)

He expressed confidence that Malaysia's role would be realised through the joint effort of the rakyat and private sector.
