Two men killed in Tangkak car accident


TANGKAK: Two men were killed and five others were injured in a car accident here.

Tangkak Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Mohd Shahid Abd Razak said the accident was reported at around 10.08pm on Friday (October 27).

"The crash involved two vehicles, a mid-size SUV and a saloon car, near an estate along Jalan Sagil-Jementah here."

"We reached the scene, some 20km from the Tangkak fire station, and assisted the victims," he said on Saturday (Jan 25), adding that no victims were trapped in the vehicles.

"Two 56-year-old men in the saloon car passed away, while two women in the car, aged 53 and 21, escaped with injuries," Mohd Shahid added.

He said the two men and a woman in the other vehicle were also injured in the crash.

The victims were handed over to the Health Ministry to be taken to the hospital for medical attention, he said.
