Man’s body found floating in Shah Alam river


SHAH ALAM: A body of a man was discovered floating in Sungai Damansara, behind a warehouse at Seksyen 22 here.

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said a member of the public alerted the police on the discovery of the body at 11.14am on Wednesday (Jan 8).

"The victim did not have any identification documents on him.

"He was found lying face down in the water, wearing a red T-shirt and dark pants. There was no BCG jab mark on his left arm," he said in a statement on Thursday (Jan 9).

There were defensive wounds and other injuries on the victim that could have led to his death, he added.

"The body has been sent to Shah Alam Hospital for post-mortem to identify the cause of death.

"We urge those with information on the case to contact investigating officer Insp Mohamad Amzar Mohamad Shuffie at 013-6666657," he said.
