Singer Jamal Abdillah becomes dad for seventh time at age 66


PETALING JAYA: Legendary singer Datuk Jamal Abdillah has welcomed the arrival of his seventh child, a baby girl.

The 66-year-old singer announced on Tuesday (Jan 7) morning, sharing that both mother and daughter are in good health following a successful surgery.

“Alhamdulillah, the surgery went well and both mother and baby are fine. I am deeply grateful to Allah SWT for blessing us with a bundle of joy,” Jamal was quoted as saying by Astro Awani.

He also extended his gratitude to friends and well-wishers for their congratulatory messages.

Jamal, whose full name is Jamal Ubaidillah Ali, had previously revealed his intention to name his baby girl Magdalena Yamani, inspired by the maiden beloved by Prophet Yusuf.

Baby Magdalena is Jamal’s fifth child with his wife, Datin Zai Izzati Khiruddin, 29.

In addition to his young family, Jamal has two older sons, Osama Yamani, 22, and Ahmad Zaki Yamani, 18, both from his previous marriages.

Known for legendary hits such as ‘Kekasih Awal dan Akhir,’ Jamal continues to enjoy the blessings of family life while maintaining his illustrious career.
