Tanker truck tips over on Karak Highway


GOMBAK: A tanker carrying palm oil has crashed onto its side in an early morning accident on the Karak Highway.

Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir, in a statement on Wednesday (Dec 25), said that the incident occurred at KM28 of the highway at around 3am.

“The 41-year-old driver was en route to Port Klang from Kelantan. At the scene, the lorry’s brakes malfunctioned, causing the crash after the driver lost control of his vehicle.

“There were no injuries or casualties,” he said.

A dashcam recording of the incident showed the lorry tipping onto its side after swerving.
