Storm warning: Heavy rain, thunderstorms expected over six states until 7pm


PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected over six states until 7pm on Saturday (Dec 21).

In an advisory issued by the Meteorological Department at 4pm Saturday, it said the areas affected include Perak (Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar and Batang Padang), Kelantan (Gua Musang), Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Jerantut, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan and Rompin), Negri Sembilan (Kuala Pilah, Jempol and Tampin), Melaka (Jasin), and Johor (Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Mersing, Pontian and Johor Baru).

Malaysia is currently experiencing the Northeast Monsoon.
