Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Comm Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf, in a statement Thursday (Dec 19), said that the police had received 24 reports to date.

Losses have been estimated to be around RM454,450.

"It is advised that victims immediately lodge police reports at their nearest police stations so that investigations can be conducted," he said.

Social media influencer Kim Seri had previously issued a public apology and promised to refund customers affected by issues arising from her South Korea travel packages, pledging to settle the matter by or before Feb 1, 2025.

A video went viral on social media showing a woman claiming to be one of Kim Seri’s victims.

She and her group claimed they were stranded at Incheon International Airport in South Korea because there were no flight tickets as promised by the influencer.

The woman claimed that checks at the ticket counter revealed that her name and her group’s names were not in the system.

However, she managed to return to Malaysia on Tuesday (Dec 17) with the help of an individual.
