Woman dies in suspected suicide while driving


KUALA LUMPUR: A 45-year-old woman is believed to have taken her own life while driving along Jalan Besar Kepong.

She reportedly slashed her arms and throat before hitting a motorcyclist and crashing her car into a road divider at a traffic light around 10.24pm on Saturday (December 14).

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Sukarno Mohd Zahari said there were slash marks on her arms and neck.

"The victim died at the scene, and we are classifying the case as a sudden death. The post-mortem will be conducted on Sunday (December 15)," he said.

ACP Ahmad Sukarno added that the woman contacted her husband via WhatsApp about an hour before the incident.

A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.
