Celebrity preacher PU Azman jailed 14 months for gross indecency against teenage boy


PETALING JAYA: Celebrity preacher PU Azman, also known as Cik Man, has been sentenced to 14 months in prison by the Klang Magistrate's Court for committing gross indecency against a teenage boy two years ago.

Magistrate Amirul Asyraf Abd Rasid handed down the sentence to Azman, whose full name is Azman Syah Alias, 43, after he pleaded guilty to the offence.

The court ordered the sentencing to begin from Friday (Dec 6).

According to the charge, Azman is accused of committing the act with a 19-year-old boy at a house on Jalan Sungai Bertek at 9.15pm on June 10, 2022.

The offence falls under Section 377D of the Penal Code, which carries a penalty of up to two years in prison if convicted.

In September, Azman was sentenced to 24 years imprisonment and two strokes of the cane for sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy two years ago.
