No shootout in Ampang, says cop

AMPANG: There is no shootout between the police and criminals in Taman Mulia Jaya here, says police.

This is following a viral video, which claimed there was a shootout at the residential area on Friday (Nov 29) night.

Denying this, Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said no shootout occurred.

"However, there was a chase between a mobile patrol vehicle (MPV) and a car at the location at about 10pm on Friday.

"We managed to stop the car but there was no shootout," he said when contacted on Saturday (Nov 30).

Earlier a TikTok user uploaded a video with an audio claiming there was a shootout in Taman Mulia Jaya.

The audio on the video also claimed that there were six shots fired and two suspects had escaped.
