MetMalaysia issues thunderstorm warning for eight states until 7pm on Nov 24


PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are anticipated across several states including Kedah, Pahang and Selangor.

The Meteorological Department issued the warning at 3.35pm on Sunday (Nov 24), forecasting severe weather in Kedah (Padang Terap, Kuala Muda, Sik, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu), Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Raub, Bentong, Temerloh and Maran) and Selangor.

Similar conditions are expected in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor.

In Sarawak, areas such as Kuching (Bau and Kuching), Serian (Tebedu), Betong, Sarikei (Pakan and Sarikei), Bintulu, Miri (Miri and Marudi) and Limbang are on alert.

In Sabah, the Interior, West Coast, Tawau (Tawau and Lahad Datu) and Sandakan (Tongod) are expected to be affected, alongside the Federal Territory of Labuan.

This warning is in effect until 7pm on Sunday, Nov 24.
