Calm and composed: Diana Danielle attends court for divorce with Farid Kamil


PETALING JAYA: Actress Diana Danielle appeared calm as she attended the Lower Syariah Court of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday morning (Nov 20) for the reference and divorce case filed against her husband, Farid Kamil.

Diana, whose full name is Diana Danielle Danny Beeson, 33, was dressed in black and declined to comment further on the proceedings, reported mStar.

She jokingly remarked that she was looking forward to enjoying nasi lemak when asked about her hopes regarding the court case. “Hope? I want to find nasi lemak,” she said.

Both Diana and Farid were present at the court, with Farid dressed in a full kurta and a white headband. He remained silent and smiled at the media. The actor, known for his role in the movie Bisikan Dosa, expressed a hopeful sentiment, saying, “I hope everything goes well today.”

Diana's lawyer, Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kadir, explained that the proceedings would begin with the confirmation of reference, followed by the initial trial for the divorce case. "Today, there are two applications: consultation and divorce. We will proceed with the consultation first and then move on to the divorce,” he stated. “Both sides need to appear in court today (Wednesday).”

On October 28, Diana surprised many by announcing her intention to file for divorce after a year of reference. However, Farid asserted that their household was in good condition, merely experiencing minor misunderstandings and that they remained in regular contact.

The couple initially divorced on August 10 of the previous year but decided to reconcile after 21 days apart. Diana has denied claims that they were living separately, insisting that she sent Farid a notice to vacate their home via WhatsApp.

Farid and Diana got married on November 3, 2012, and they have two daughters: Muhammad, 11, and Nur Aurora, who is now 9 years old.
