Five vehicles trapped in PJ flash flood


PETALING JAYA: A total of five vehicles were trapped in a flash flood at Persiaran Surian Damansara in Taman Pelangi Damansara on Tuesday (Nov 12).

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the department received the distress call at 8.09am.

"A total of eight firemen from the Petaling Jaya fire station were dispatched to the scene," he said in a statement on Tuesday.

Ahmad Mukhlis said that upon arrival at the location, it was discovered that a flash flood had trapped five vehicles.

"No victims were involved in the incident and the water level is receding," he added.
