Landslide causes closure of Jalan Tengkolok route in Cameron Highlands


KUANTAN: The Jalan Tengkolok route at Section 0.40, located 50 metres before the Perumahan Makmur Cameron Jaya junction in Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands, has been closed to all types of vehicles since Sunday due to a landslide.

The Cameron Highlands Public Works Department (PWD) announced that the route will remain closed until further notice, as work is ongoing to clear the debris from the landslide.

"Road users are advised to comply with the instructions on the safety signs provided. For inquiries, please contact the Cameron Highlands PWD at 05-4911105,” said the department in a statement on Sunday (Oct 13). - Bernama
