Son drops by, only to find his father's skeletal remains

KUALA LUMPUR: A son's visit to his father here led to the macabre discovery of the older man's remains.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Sukarno Mohd Zahari, when contacted, confirmed that a report on the incident was made on Thursday (Sept 5).

“The complainant said that on that date he went to his father’s home in Mutiara Magna in Kepong.

"When he arrived, he found the door locked. After he broke down the door, he saw his father's skeletal remains," he said here on Tuesday (Sept 10).

ACP Ahmad Sukarno said the man's father had lived alone after his divorce.

"The last time the complainant contacted his father was in 2020,” he added.

Investigations showed that the deceased had a history of high blood pressure and also suffered a stroke in the past.

The case has been classified as a Sudden Death Report.
