Anwar congratulates Ziyad for 2024 Paralympics silver medal


KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated national athlete Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli for securing a silver medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympics.

"The silver medal won by Ziyad marks the third for the Malaysian contingent in Paris. Well done and congratulations Ziyad," said Anwar in a post on X on Wednesday (Sept 4).

Competing at the Stade de France on Tuesday (Sept 3), Muhammad Ziyad managed a throw of 17.18 metres (m) in the men's F20 (intellectual disability) shot put event, earning a silver medal for the national team. - Bernama
