Singer Nidza Afham laid to rest in Puncak Alam


KUALA SELANGOR: The remains of singer and influencer Muhammad Nidza Afham Mokhtar were laid to rest at the Puncak Alam Islamic Cemetery at 6.45pm on Thursday (Aug 15).

Earlier, his body was brought to Masjid Puncak Alam for funeral prayers before being transported in a hearse to the cemetery, arriving at 6.15pm.

The burial of Muhammad Nidza Afham, 23, took place in good weather and was attended by family members and friends.

His elder brother, Muhammad Nidza Irfan, 33, said that the family hopes the authorities will conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of his younger sibling.

"While we are coming to terms with his passing, our family will undoubtedly miss his laughter and jokes," he said.

Muhammad Nidza Afham's body, was discovered in the Klang River on Friday (Aug 14) afternoon. The autopsy was completed at Shah Alam Hospital at 3pm.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan was reported as saying that the autopsy revealed no physical injuries and the case has been classified as a sudden death.- Bernama
