Civil Defence Force personnel killed in motorcycle accident


IPOH: A Civil Defence Force personnel was killed after his motorcycle skidded on the Felda Trolak Selatan road early on Sunday (Aug 11) morning.

Muallim OCPD Supt Hasni Mohd Nasir said the victim, identified as Muhammad Asyraf Haikal Zulkepli, 18, was riding alone when his motorcycle skidded and collided with a streetlight pole.

"The incident occurred at approximately 8.15am, when the Muallim district police received a report about the accident.

"The victim was travelling from Slim River to his home in Felda Trolak Timur when he lost control of his motorcycle," he said in a statement on Sunday (Aug 11).

"The vehicle veered off the road and struck the pole, causing him to fall and suffer fatal injuries," he added.

Muhammad Asyraf's death has been classified as polytrauma secondary to a road traffic accident.

"The impact of the collision caused damages to the motorcycle, including a broken front cover set, side mirrors, and left and right body parts," Supt Hasni said.
